Keep All Software Updated: Whether your site is built from scratch or by development team it’s website owner responsibility to ensure that every piece of software you are running is up to date. Protect yourself by keeping your latest version supporting your site updated.

Implement Strong Passwords: It becomes important to use a strong password. Hackers easily crack simple passwords. To protect the website from hackers- passwords should be complex, containing uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Keep our passwords to be at least 10 characters long.

Backup your Data: Back up your site regularly. You have to maintain backups of all of your website files in case your site becomes inaccessible or your data is lost. Some content management programs have plugins or extensions that can automatically back up your site and you should also be able to back up databases and content manually.

Avoid file uploads: Do not upload files to your website, allowing files can be a big security risk. The simple file can also damage your website. Check the file with properly before uploading it.

Use SSL and HTTPS: HTTPS is the secure version of HTTP, HTTPs is used for secure communication over the visitor browser and your website. In HTTPS all the communications between your browser and the website are encrypted. SSL is a secure protocol refined for posting information securely over the Internet.
